Spoor & Fisher scoops “IP Law firm of the Year in South Africa” award
Spoor & Fisher has been awarded “IP Law Firm of the Year in South Africa” for the third year running, by Managing Intellectual Property (MIP).
This prestigious award recognises top performers in global intellectual property who have made outstanding contributions to IP work during 2016.
Winners are selected following annual research into the IP market, as well as obtaining independent views from clients and peers. The awards take into account all activity in the past year, including successful cases, notable client wins and innovative approaches to the law.
Jonathan Whittaker, a senior partner of Spoor & Fisher, collected the award at the global awards ceremony held at the Savoy Hotel in London on 9 March. He commented “We are very pleased to have received the award again and appreciate the recognition from our clients and peers. We are especially grateful to our clients for their continued support, without which this award would not be possible.”
The research for the award also forms a basis for MIP’s “IP Stars” handbook. Spoor & Fisher has once again been ranked in Tier 1 in the categories of “Patent Prosecution”, “Patent Contentious”, “Trade Mark Prosecution” and “Trade Mark Contentious”.
