We are committed to making a difference in our communities and to the environment.
Spoor & Fisher prides itself on its long-standing involvement in corporate social responsibility initiatives and donations to numerous charitable organisations.
Our staff are encouraged to devote time towards CSR initiatives offering their skills, talent, expertise and personalities to the communities in which we operate and do business. They are fully engaged with CSR and understand the benefits.
Certain not-for-profit causes and charitable organisations can also benefit from our pro bono services.
We have been recognised for our CSR efforts through the following awards:
- International American Chamber of Commerce Silver Star Award in the Education Category for the Spoor & Fisher Adult Education Centre Project
- Spoor & Fisher Adult Education Project award from the Professional Management Review for Social Upliftment - since the inception of the Literacy Project in 1994, more than 1400 graduates have received training
- Primary Health Care award from the Management Review for Spoor & Fisher’s Wellness Programme
- Spoor & Fisher Jersey has been awarded the bi-annual Jersey Employment Trust award: “Able to Work 2011” and “Able to Work 2013” for our efforts in employing staff with disabilities

Spoor & Fisher proudly supports Qhubeka
We are proud that we have been part of Qhubeka’s journey, assisting Qhubeka with the protection of their intellectual property rights in South Africa and internationally.
On Saturday the 6th of October 2018, Spoor & Fisher staff members had the privilege of visiting Tshwane Haven.
Jersey Employment Trust (JET)
JET is a trust set up in Jersey (Channel Islands), where Spoor & Fisher Jersey is based. JET supports people with special employment needs, for example if they have autism, are recovering from an accident, suffer from other specific health conditions and, as a result, find it challenging to return to work.
Afrika Tikkun Sports Day
Afrika Tikkun is a non-profit organisation which was founded in 1995 to provide for the day to day needs of disadvantaged children but soon after, the organisation evolved into one focused on overall development.
Canteen enterprise initiative
Spoor & Fisher has embarked on a project which will see the firm transferring its in-house canteen operation to the canteen personnel, thus creating a business enterprise with 100% black female ownership.
Spoor & Fisher has provided a platform for young HDI secretarial graduates to embark on secretarial internships.
eDeaf is an organisation dedicated to empowering the deaf community through training and enabling deaf persons to enjoy a productive life and career. In 2012, Spoor & Fisher entered into a partnership with the organisation, and as part of its support the firm provides eDeaf with office facilities.
Spoor & Fisher Adult Education Centre
It is a sad legacy of apartheid that a significant portion of the South African population has had little or no access to any formal education, leaving them unable to read or write.
Santa Shoebox: “The joy of Giving”
Santa Shoebox is a charity organisation that was founded in Cape Town in 2006. The mission of the organisation is to connect people and bring joy by facilitating the giving of gifts to under-privileged children.
Spoor & Fisher CSR team establishes new roots in Arbour Month
In honour of Arbour month, members of the Spoor & Fisher corporate social responsibility group spent the morning of 15 September wearing their gardening gloves as they planted fifty trees at a community sports ground adjoining Afrika Tikkun’s Wings of Hope Centre in Diepsloot.
Spoor & Fisher supports young football talent
Hlalefang Football Club participated in an annual soccer camp challenge that takes place at the Zola Sports Complex in Soweto. Spoor & Fisher was privileged to help sponsor the Hlalefang Football Club to attend this tournament.

947 Cycle Challenge with The Cows
On Sunday 19 November, 5 of your peers tackled a grueling 94.7 km of cycling in cow gear, braving the sun and taking gusty winds head on, all to raise funds for Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa (CHOC).
