The authorities in Cape Verde have approved accession to a number of international agreements, although the instruments of accession have not yet been deposited and it is unclear just when this will happen. The agreements are the following:

  • ARIPO – the Banjul Agreement (trade marks) and the Harare Agreement (patents)
  • The Madrid Protocol
  • The Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT)
  • Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property
  • Lisbon Agreement for the Protection of Appellations of Origin
