Qhubeka: Moving People Forward With Bicycles

Qhubeka, founded in 2005, is a global charity that donates bicycles through fundraising events, “moving people forward with bicycles in Africa”.

Our involvement

In the face of extreme and persistent poverty, bicycles can change lives by helping to address socio-economic challenges at the most basic level, and helping people to get where they need to go. School-children, health workers and communities have so far benefitted from the donation of 90 000 of Qhubeka’s steel utility bicycles.

Spoor & Fisher is proud to have been part of Qhubeka’s journey, assisting with the protection of their intellectual property rights in South Africa and internationally. Our practitioners have also completed the 94.7 Cycle Race in support of Qhubeka.
