Ghana’s Integration of TMclass Enhances Trademark Classification
As of 13 May 2024, the Registrar General’s Department of Ghana (GHIPO) has officially adopted TMclass, utilising the terms from the harmonised database of goods and services (HDB). This significant step brings the total number of participating intellectual property offices, including ARIPO, OAPI, and WIPO, to 93.
What is TMclass?
TMclass is a powerful tool that offers users the ability to search for and translate goods and services into and from any of the 44 languages available. Additionally, it ensures the correct classification of terms under the Nice classification, a crucial aspect of trade mark registration and protection.
