Marco Vatta

Marco Vatta is a qualified South African patent attorney that holds both a BSc degree with specialisation in microbiology and a LLB degree. He is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and has nine years of experience in patents and registered designs.
Marco is well experienced in IP management, particularly for patents and designs, client liaison and attorney’s practice. Marco has a keen interest in IP education and as such is also the course convenor and examiner for South African Patent Law and Practice for the Patent Examination Board of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition and the SAIIPL.
Marco has authored and published several articles on intellectual property and is a contributor to some of the world’s leading IP law guides. Marco has presented on IP law on numerous occasions at various forums and has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Pretoria for the final year LLB students.
