Spoor & Fisher has been named as the South African “Trademark Firm Of The Year” at the inaugural Global IP Awards held in London on 29 January 2019.

The awards were developed by the IP Media Group, which publishes IAM and World Trademark Review (WTR). IAM and WTR are bi-monthly, practitioner-led publications that focus on intellectual property intelligence and analysis in key jurisdictions globally. Both Spoor & Fisher and the firm’s lawyers have consistently featured in the WTR 1000 and IAM Patent 1000 rankings. However, this is the first time that any awards have been instituted. The awards recognised outstanding achievement in IP litigation, prosecution and transactional work during 2018.

Charles Webster, Partner, Spoor & Fisher who was at the event to receive the award said, “We are delighted to win this prestigious award especially in its inaugural year. The recognition underscores the firm’s continued commitment to driving client value.”

With almost 100 years of experience, Spoor & Fisher has the reputation of taking on some of the most challenging and complex IP cases with a highly successful track record.
